How to eat “Buta-Teppan”

Broth formed from pork and cabbage will drip on your hot plate. Melt miso in the broth and use it as dipping sauce.

How the use the toppings – eggs and tororo (grated yam)

Save some pork and cabbage when you use the toppings. Beat the egg and mix it with our special soy sauce, and put it on the hot plate along with the pork and cabbage. Pour the mixture over rice.

The egg and tororo can also simply be served on rice with our special soy sauce. It is also possible to serve directly on the hot plate, or use the egg like sukiyaki.

Seasonings on the table

  • Karamiso (spicy miso)

Our best recommendation! Use little by little.

  • Amamiso (sweet miso)

Use this if you are not fond of spicy taste.

  • Yuzukoshou (citrus pepper)

Arefreshing taste! It also goes well with soup.

  • Kyabetare (citrus vinegar)

A ponzu (soy sauce vinegar) – like seasoning made from citrus. Not used for toppings.
